Hunstanton girl Hannah Burton's flower power for children's cancer charity
A 10-year-old girl from Hunstanton has donated more than £2,500 to a children’s cancer charity after creating and selling a bunch of paper roses.
Hannah Burton, a Hunstanton Primary School pupil, raised £2,517.75 for Children With Cancer UK from the sale of her handmade flowers during 2018.
Hannah, who has been selling the paper decorations under the name Hannah’s Roses at various businesses in West Norfolk, presented the cheque at one of these places, the Honeystone in Hunstanton on Monday.
She was congratulated for her achievements by a number of officials on Monday, including West Norfolk mayor Nick Daubney, Hunstanton mayor Amanda Bosworth and Vice Lord Lieutenant for Norfolk The Countess of Romney.

The accomplishment follows Hannah’s fundraising in the previous year, in which she raised £1,644 for the children’s cancer charity by creating 1,808 paper roses.
