Plans to turn a vacant annexe of Hunstanton’s town hall into a hairdressing salon have been recommended for approval by West Norfolk planning officials.
The application for a change of use of the building is due to be debated by members of the borough council’s planning committee when they meet in Lynn on Monday.
A report prepared by case officer Clare Harpham reveals committee members are being asked to consider the scheme as the applicant, Jack Schmollmann, is related to Hunstanton ward councillor Richard Bird.
However, she said the application met policy guidelines.
The report indicates there have been no objections to the proposal from consultees.
