A fundraiser with a difference has been in Hunstanton as frogs were raced in the school hall at Glebe House.

Organised by the Parents’ Committee, wooden frogs were manoeuvred along ropes by their jockeys, a challenge that is all about technique rather than strength.

Lane six seemed to be the lucky position for the first four races with seven-year-old Ferdi MacEwan, pictured above winning the opening race, demonstrating his prowess in the first race that parents tried to emulate but failed miserably.

Jules Jamieson was the champion jockey on the night winning his race in the fastest time of 35 seconds.
