Scouts, Cubs and Beavers took part in a static cycle challenge on Sunday at Hunstanton’s Spinney.
Cycling in a relay that lasted all day, the youngsters and their leaders completed the 180 miles that represents the distance to the UK Scout headquarters in Chingford. Scout Leader Liam Nicol said: “This is a fundraiser for the Hunstanton Scouts’ Groups; we need equipment for the groups to use on camps and activity days including tents, camping stoves and ropes. I am really pleased with the way the youngsters have approached this challenge today; they’ve worked hard and supported one another throughout.” Shaking the buckets for donations between their stints on the bike raised £185.
