Nwes launches its First Steps Programme training online

One day this crisis will be over. Our children, and theirs, will be able to read about it like we indeed

read about previous pandemics such as Spanish Flu in 1918/9 and more recently Asian flu in 1957/8

or Hong Kong Flu in 1968.

Whilst it may feel hard to think ahead when we’re dealing with the difficult and maybe the

unpleasant present, we will emerge from this just as our parents and grandparents did.

If history is to repeat itself we will be wiser and more knowledgeable. There might be a new normal,

but it will be full of new opportunities.

Entrepreneurs are optimists. They seek opportunity and find solutions. They seize on moments to

develop new ideas, products or services or do things better or more innovatively.

Of course, during this pandemic we have the internet – a game changer compared to previous. Some

can work at home and we can all receive news within seconds of an event happening. So perhaps it’s

not surprising to see some business adapting really quickly because that’s what entrepreneurs do.

We’ve transferred all our business start-up training in April and May from our centres across Norfolk

and Suffolk to an easy- to-use online platform that means you can still access our First Steps

Programme now without leaving your home! Our free two-day programme will help you develop

your business idea and show you how to avoid the common pitfalls of starting a business so you

can take advantage of the opportunities that will exist when we can all get back to work properly.

You won’t have to worry about social distancing and you’ll still be able to share your thoughts and

join in either through video and/or audio as you prefer. We’ll explain how to get you online so you’ll

just need a laptop or PC.

So if you find yourself with some spare time and you’ve thought about going self employed or

running your own business, just call us and register for our next available dates on 01553 970029 or
