Police have stepped up patrols in a village near Lynn following a recent spate of criminal damage incidents.

Brick walls have been damaged and a lantern on a gate pillar has been smashed in Ash Grove, Main Road, Walnut Avenue and Hall Lane between Saturday, November 29 and Sunday, November 30.

However, details of the damage were only released by Norfolk Police this week.

PC Maria Asker, who is leading the investigation, said: “We are taking this sudden rise in criminal damage in the West Winch area very seriously and residents can be reassured that officers will be focussing their patrols in the area.

“This kind of activity has a massive impact on the local community.

“We are linking these incidents and I would urge anyone who may know who is responsible, or anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area between the times stated, to contact us.”

Anyone with information should contact PC Asker on 101.
