Norfolk Police launch investigation after woman found dead on Hunstanton beach




Police have launched an investigation after a dead woman was found on Hunstanton’s beach last night.

Officers were called to Seagate Road at around 11.45pm on Friday after a member of the public reported finding the woman’s body on the sand, opposite the Sea Life Centre.

A cordon was put in place while initial enquiries were carried out, and the body was later recovered.

The cordon was lifted at around 10am this morning.

The death is currently being treated as unexplained by police, and a post-mortem examination is set to be carried out to establish why it occurred.

Officers have so far been unable to identify the woman, and their enquiries are ongoing.
