Retired Yorkshire businessman Jim Bell has been given the chain of office as the new president of Lynn’s Probus club.

The Probus club, which was first established back in 1978, is a social luncheon club for retired professional business people aged over the age of 60.

Mr Bell, who has been a member for four years, took over from outgoing president John Rands, while Jeff Futter was elected vice-president at the club’s annual meeting on Wednesday.

The club meet at Knight’s Hill for lunch, once a month on the third Wednesday of the month.

On the Wednesday’s they don’t convene for luch, the club host a coffee morning at the Swan Public House at South Wootton.
