The Daly Group expands with new premises at Fakenham and creates new jobs
Expansion plans are now going full steam ahead for one of East Anglia's leading firms of electrical contractors which has just bought new premises in Fakenham.
Norfolk electrical, heating and plumbing contractor, the Daly Group has moved into the brand new building at Clipbush Business Park, a move which has already seen the creation of eight new jobs.
These are roles for two plumbing and heating engineers, two electrical engineers, two ceramic tilers and two apprentices.
The property acquisition was made possible through a six-figure commercial mortgage from HSBC UK.
Nathan Daly, managing director of the Daly Group, said: “Thanks to HSBC UK and the support of the bank’s relationship manager Ray Minns, we’ve been able to push forward with our expansion plans. "The last few years have seen incredible growth across the business and now that we own our own premises, we’re able to focus on continuing this growth in a space that can expand with the team.
"The additional warehousing space is going to make a positive impact as well, enabling us to stock the materials we use regularly, meaning we can streamline our processes and deliver even more contracts.”
The business, which has been operating since 1993, outgrew former premises following growth which saw turnover increase by 60 per cent during the last four years after winning new contracts in Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire.
It has also expanded it services by introducing ceramic tiling.
By buying its own premises instead of renting, Daly Group will be able to invest more into growing the business as well as have improved warehousing facilities.
With the new warehouse space, Daly Group can store material and parts ahead of new projects starting, rather than relying on timed deliveries, helping to optimise project management.
Daly’s new premises includes bespoke office space, as well as a large communal kitchen, a meeting area and increased parking facilities.
Sarah Black, business banking area director for Norfolk, said: "HSBC UK is delighted to have provided the finance to help Daly Group acquire its new premises which meets the need of the growing business. With the space to grow and the warehousing facility to optimise project delivery, Daly Group is well placed to continue expanding and bring in new contracts across the region.”
This deal is part of HSBC UK’s £200 million lending fund to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Norfolk.
