Justice service held at King's Lynn Minster
The King's Lynn Justice Service was held at the town's Minster on Sunday attended by the Lord Lieutenant of Norfolk, Sir Richard Jewson.
The event is organised by the High Sheriff of Norfolk, who this year is Charles Watt.
Among those attending were the borough mayor Nick Daubney, with his mayoress Cheryl, the Norfolk coroner Jacqueline Lake, police and crime commissioner Lorne Green and members of the judiciary.
The civic procession had paraded in the morning rain to the Minster from the town hall across the Saturday Market Place.
Mrs Justice McGowan had given a biblical reading with the congregation also being addressed by the Bishop of Lynn, Jonathan Meyrick, who gave the blessing.
The sermon was given by the Ven Ian Benley, Archdeacon of Lynn, on the thorny subject of doing the right thing and aspiring to the wisdom of Soloman.
A collection was taken for the Minster's own restoration and development project.
