King’s Lynn Beer Festival open for weekend
Cheers! The bar is now open for the 21st annual King’s Lynn Beer Festival.
The event, which is organised by the town’s Vancouver Round Table group in conjunction with the Stuart House Hotel, opened in the grounds of the Goodwins Road site yesterday evening.
The hotel, which is a regular meeting place for the group, is well known for the quality of its real ales and has featured in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide for the past 18 years.
The line-up this year includes brews from across the country, as well as locally-produced ales.
The festival has raised more than £80,000 for good causes to date. The Norfolk Accident Rescue Service, NARS, is this year’s beneficiary.
The festival is open today and tomorrow from 12noon to 11pm, with live music from 8.30pm on both evenings.
Tonight’s act is Keno Kings, while DNA will be performing tomorrow evening.
