Work on Lynn bus station will see contractors CLC bring in a crane tomorrow evening to complete the removal of the canopy which is in front of the bus station office and toilets.

The crane will arrive about 7pm and the lift will start around 8pm. It is anticipated to take some four hours.

CLC will close the bus station entrance to the Vancouver Quarter and the pedestrian area in front of Sainsbury’s and its staff will be on hand to redirect pedestrians at three key locations.

The crane will take departure bays 2 and 3 out of action. There are fewer bus services at this time so it is hoped the impact will be minimal.

All services will operate from bays 4,5,6,7,8 from 7pm until midnight on Friday and should return to their usual departure bays on Saturday morning.

A spokeswoman for West Norfolk Council said: “We have liaised with bus operators who have agreed these arrangements. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause people, but would like to reassure people that we are doing everything we can to reduce the impact on passengers.”
