Tickets for Andrew Graham-Dixon’s talk at King’s Lynn Festival were snapped up so quickly the art historian has agreed to speak at a second, different event.
Mr Graham-Dixon, who proved a big draw at the Festival two years ago, is to talk on The Art of the Low Countries – as part of the Festival’s Hanseatic theme – on Wednesday, July 15, at 7.30pm in St George’s Guildhall.
His talk quickly became a sell-out, attracting fans from far and wide, so Festival organisers asked the popular art expert if he would also speak at a special lunchtime event.
He agreed, and at midday on July 15 he will give an hour-long illustrated talk entitled The Picture, explaining his role as an art critic.
It will also be at the Guildhall and will be a masterclass in how to appreciate art when Mr Graham-Dixon will talk about his individual approach during his 20 years writing for the Daily Telegraph.
Tickets are £14 from the box office on 01553-764864 or visit the festival website www.kingslynnfestival.org.uk
