Several charities and community groups will benefit from the proceeds of the work of the King’s Lynn Town Guides at a presentation next week.

A total of £4,000 is to be shared between seven organisations and the money will take the total the guides has raised for local charities to more than £60,000 since 1989.

Beneficiaries are the King¹s Lynn Preservation Trust, King¹s Lynn Minster, All Saints Church, True¹s Yard, Marriott¹s Warehouse Trust, the Roman Catholic Church and King¹s Lynn Worfolk Boat Trust. The money is set to be presented to borough mayor Colin Manning at Lynn’s town hall next Monday.

And Bob Price, the guides’ chairman, said: “¹I am delighted that we are able to donate such an amount to seven different organisations within the town.

“The donation ceremony itself is the culmination of a year¹s guiding by a very talented group of whom the town should be very proud.”
