Have your say

Bus passengers in West Norfolk are being urged to have their say on services in the area at an event in Lynn next week.

The Bus Users campaign group, which represents passengers’ interests, is holding a Your Bus Matters event in the Vancouver Quarter next Tuesday, September 8, between 9.30am and 3.30pm.

The session, which will be held outside the Beales store, aims to enable passengers to comment on the quality of services provided by all bus providers in the borough.

The group is working with Stagecoach in Norfolk, formerly Norfolk Green, Lynx and First, as well as Norfolk County Council to stage the event.

The group currently has more than 30 branches across the country, including the Norfolk Bus Forum, which aims to improve the quality of public transport links across the county.

The Lynn event comes just days after Stagecoach bosses announced plans to spend more than £1 million on new buses and an expanded maintenance centre in the town, which they hope will improve services for passengers.

The move follows recent criticism from residents about services which they claimed were often either severely delayed or did not run at all.
