Auditions will be held shortly by King’s Lynn Players for their next musical production, the macabre and devilishly delightful new musical, The Addams Family.

Carol Beveridge, chairman of the Players said: “This musical is a first for West Norfolk and we are really looking forward to presenting this new show before it is presented professionally in the UK.

“The Players are delighted that Sara-Jane Brennock will be directing her first musical for us and she will be joined by Samantha Ashby as our musical director.
The Players are looking for dedicated, imaginative, fun individuals who are passionate about musical theatre.

Sara-Jane said: “This is an exciting opportunity for me to bring my vision to life and encourage everyone involved to fulfil their true potential. I believe it is going to be a fantastic show – one that King’s Lynn has never seen before.”
Readings for the show start next Wednesday, May 6, at 7.30 pm at Howard Junior School in Gaywood;  audition workshops follow on May 7, 13 and 14 at the same venue.

Auditions will take place on Sunday. May 17 from 10am, at the Howard School.

The Addams Family, sponsored by Adrian Flux, will be presented at Lynn Arts Centre from Wednesday to Saturday, October 28-31.

This production joins the Addams Family as Wednesday Addams, has fallen in love with a smart young man her parents have never met.

Wednesday confides in her father Gomez and begs him not to tell her mother. He must keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia.

Everything changes for the family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s ‘normal’ boyfriend and his parents.
