Following a commitment made in 2014 the Rotary Club of King’s Lynn is set to present each Year 5 pupil of local schools with specially purchased Usborne Illustrated UK Standard edition Dictionaries 4 Life.

South Wootton Junior School was the first to receive a presentation at their school assembly.

The club has purchased 250 books and each Year 5 pupil at the school received a personal copy of the dictionary which comprises 1,000 illustrations, 10,000 entries and 20,000 definitions printed in full colour on 288 pages of paper from a sustainable forest. Michael Pellizzaro, the Rotary Club community service chairman, told the whole school of the work of Rotary, both at international and local levels, explaining that the Dictionary 4 Life project was being carried out at a national level and he expected that similar presentations would be made to next year’s Year 5 pupils.
