A Lynn secondary school has hosted a recruitment event which aims to encourage people into the teaching profession.

The session was held at the Springwood High School to help people find out more about training opportunities and job vacancies as teachers or teaching assistants.

Representatives of the West Norfolk Academies Trust, which includes Springwood, St Clement’s High in Terrington St Clement and the primary schools in West Lynn, Clenchwarton and Snettisham, were at the event, along with staff from other training groups.

Springwood is one of several West Norfolk scholls that are working with the Cambridge Partnership training provider to recruit teachers in subject areas including physics, modern languages and religious education.

Alison Sturgess, one of the organisers, said that she was pleased with how the event went and there was a “nice turn-out.”
