There was a twist in store for parents watching the annual nativity play at Lynn’s Eastgate Academy yesterday morning.

That’s because the production featured its own rap, written by the school, as well as all the story’s more traditional characters and carols.

Around 90 pupils in the reception, year one and year two groups, pictured above during their dress rehearsals, took part in the show.

Assistant principal Wendy Darrell said: “We are really proud of the students and staff involved. They have worked really hard to put the production together in a short space of time.”
