Lynn is going to enjoy a Mediaeval Christmas this year.
The event has been organised by West Norfolk Council over the weekend of December 11-13.
The idea is that Lynn will step back to a time when lives were harsh and hearts were passionate. Experience the sights, sounds and smells of shopping in a mediaeval market , feast on the finest banquest in the realm and experience the soothing and sensual sounds of the Mediaeval Baebes.
In the Tuesday Market Place there will be stalls selling handcrafted wares, jewellery, leather goods, bags and cloths, bottles and barrels as well as homewear.
A perfect chance to get that unusual Christmas gift.
The market is on 2-8pm on Friday, 10am-8pm on Saturday and 10am-4pm on Sunday.
At the town hall on Friday, 8pm until late, there will be a 20-dish mediaeval banquet prepared by master chef Gerry Rhodes.
There will be music, dance and medieval players to entertain diners.
The cost of the event is £50 and mediaeval dress is optional. For tickets go to kingslynnchristmas.co.uk
On the Sunday at 7.30pm, the Mediaeval Baebes perform a Christmas Carol Concert at St Nicholas Chapel.
This popular all-girl choral group will be performing Christmas classics from their album Of Kings & Angels. Tickets are available online for this from mediaevalbaebes.com.
