A major conference promoting international trade links will take place in Lynn this spring, it has been announced.
The Hanse Business Convention will be held at the Hanse House on May 15 and will mark the 10th anniversary of Lynn joining the revived Hanseatic League.
Representatives from all 16 of the nations which have towns in the league will be at the conference, which officials say business leaders cannot afford to miss.
West Norfolk Council leader Nick Daubney said: “This event gives local, regional, national and international businesses the chance to find about more about trading opportunities with Hanse countries.
“We’ve got some top-notch keynote speakers confirmed for the event, interactive workshop sessions, money-can’t-buy one-to-one sessions with UKTI representatives from the 16 countries in the Hanseatic economic area and visits to two world-leading manufacturers in West Norfolk. It really is a not-to-be-missed event.”
Ostap Paparega, the council’s regeneration and economic development manager, added: “With just a small investment of time, attendance at this convention could really open up new doors, new trading links and new opportunities for people as well as providing a great networking experience.
“We are really excited about the event and look forward to welcoming people to King’s Lynn to hear about the benefits of Hanse membership.”
