King's Lynn man accused of damaging police station car park barrier

A man is to appear in court after the barrier at Lynn police station was damaged.

The incident at 4.30pm on Saturday, November 30, prompted the police to tweet a picture of the damaged barrier and comment: ""Normally we go out looking for drink drivers but this time one decided to come and pay us a visit."

The driver of the blue Audi was arrested at the scene in St James Street and has been charged with drink-driving and criminal damage.

The 29-year-old man from Lynn is due to appear before magistrates on January 13, Norfolk police said in a statement.
