King's Lynn man drunk in charge of parked car gets 14-day ban

A Lynn man sitting in the driver’s seat of a parked car after drinking has been banned from the roads for 14 days.

Donatas Sniukas was given 10 penalty points after admitting being in charge of a vehicle while over the limit. Added to points for a previous offence of using a mobile phone while driving, it put the 32-year-old over the totting up limit.

Magistrates in Lynn on Thursday exercised their power to impose a discretionary disqualification, which will coincide with a period of leave for Sniukas so that he does not lose his job as a LGV driver.
