King's Lynn returned in fighting mood to Fairstead barbecue

An angry Fairstead resident who returned to a summer bank holiday weekend barbecue with a metre-long wooden bar twice got punished.

Drunken Jason Keith Copping was knocked out by one of a group trying to disarm him, suffering a facial fracture. The 46-year-old also landed a suspended sentence on Thursday.

Copping, who had kicked over the barbecue and emptied a kids’ pool after a row, returned a few hours later with the bar and asked one of the men: “Have you got a problem with me? Do you want a tear up?”
