King's Lynn students set for film role alongside Oscar winner

Three Lynn-based students have won the chance to appear alongside an Oscar winner in a major new film.

Charlotte Richardson, Fraya Syrad and Kelsie Hall have all been chosen to be extras in the Netflix production, Jingle Jangle.

The group, who are all studying performing arts programmes at the College of West Anglia campus on Tennyson Avenue, won their places after attending a casting event in Norwich.

Filming is already underway for the film, a Christmas-themed musical, which stars Oscar winner Forest Whittaker and is produced by US singing star John Legend.

Freya, centre, said: “We’re delighted we’ve been given this opportunity to feature in the film and it will be great experience for our future careers.”

Performing arts lecturer Annette Conolly added: “This is a great opportunity for the girls to be able to experience work on a big budget film set and share their experiences with other students after the event.”
