King's Lynn Town FC investigating racial abuse incident at The Walks




King's Lynn Town FC are investigating an alleged racist incident which occurred during their home fixture on Saturday at The Walks.

The club has confirmed in a statement this morning that a person was spoken with, and then ejected from the stadium by club stewards.

The alleged incident took place during Lynn's 1-0 home defeat to Guiseley, and is now being investigated by the club.

Details of this investigation will be released in due course.

"This will be the only comment from the club on this matter at this time," the statement adds.

Commenting on social media, supporter Anita Byrne said: "Went to cheer on King's Lynn Town today. [It] Was a great day marred by two things; a loss and a horrific case of racial abuse by a Lynn fan on a Guiseley player, reported and a man escorted out.

"His friend did apologise. Just can't believe it. #kickitout."

And Matt Newman said on Twitter: "This happens quite regularly at Lynn but the chairman and the club are excellent at dealing with it."
