Kristen Stewart to play Princess Diana in Sandringham based film 'Spencer'




Following on from the success of Netflix's hit series The Crown Hollywood is set to release royal epic Spencer later this year with actor and Chanel ambassador Kristen Stewart.

The film will be set at Sandringham, focusing on the festive period spent in Norfolk.

Schlosshotel Kronberg in Germany, where the actor has been photographed, is said to double up as the Sandringham Estate.

She has undergone a stunning transformation in order to play the iconic role of Diana Spencer, and recently released official photographs by Pablo Larrain show her ability to capture the doe-eyed charm of the late Princess.

In a press release Kristen said of the film: Spencer is a dive inside an emotional imagining of who Diana was at a pivotal turning point of her life, it is a harrowing effort for her to return to herself, as Diana strives to hold on to what the name Spencer means to her.

"I don't just want to play Diana, I want to know her implicitly, her story is one of the saddest ever."

She said she has immersed herself in research for the role, reading two biographies.

Kristen is known for her roles in Charlie's Angels, Snow White and the Huntsman and of course the vampy teen saga Twilight.
