Time is running out for community groups in the Swaffham area to apply for a share of £10,000 of district council funding.
The Pride in Breckland programme has allocated the sum to each of the district’s five main towns and surrounding villages.
In Swaffham, the scheme is being administered by the Iceni Partnership and would-be applicants have just a week left to submit their ideas.
Lynda Turner, the authority’s executive member for community and environmental services, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to get new community projects off the ground. Local people will have the final decision as to which projects are supported.”
Anyone who wants to apply or find out more about the scheme should phone 01760 72280 or email email@example.com.
The closing date for applications is next Friday, January 30.
