A cash machine was ramraided at a shop in Terrington St Clement during the early hours of this morning, Wednesday, February 11.

Police were called to the Co-op store in Wesley Road at around 2.30am today, following reports that a JCB machine was being used to remove the ATM point from the wall.

The machine was then loaded onto a pick-up truck and both vehicles were found abandoned a short time later in Market Lane, Walpole St Andrew. It is believed the robbers then escaped in another vehicle.

Det Con Marie Lloyd, of Lynn CID, said a short time ago: “The investigation is in its early stages. However, we are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the raid.

“We are also urging anyone who may have seen any vehicles acting suspiciously, such as driving erratically or parked up unusually, in the Terrington St Clement and Walpole areas around the time of the incident to contact us.”

Anyone who can help the investigation is asked to contact DC Lloyd via the non-emergency 101 number.
