A man has been charged with robbery, harassment and possession of an offensive weapon after armed police were called to a Gaywood supermarket last night, Friday, February 13.
Several units went to the Tesco store in St Faith’s Drive at around 7.40pm, following reports that a car had been hijacked at knifepoint. A man was arrested in Tennyson Avenue a short time later.
This evening, police have announced that 31-year-old Andrew Hennells, of Riverview Way, Gaywood, has been charged with two counts of robbery, plus charges of harassment and possession of a kitchen knife in connection with the incident.
He has been remanded in custody to appear before Lynn magistrates on Monday.
