King's Lynn's Fawkes in the Walks can be relocated, Lynn News letters
At no point did I say I was against fireworks or displays thereof.
What I did communicate is that the Fawkes evening has got too large and too loud for the site it is held on.
As a local, we have to put up with ignorant parking, after show tantrums and drunks, not to say all the ensuing litter and empty cans and bottles.
The Walks the next morning was like The Somme and I’m sorry Mr Howlett didn’t see a single park runner offering to help, probably trying to find a parking space.
There is no reason why the council can’t relocate this night to a more suitable venue such as the speedway stadium (plenty of parking with very few residents) or the Festival site on the river bank.
Respondents should be advised to at least read the article once, then digest its contents, come to an informed opinion, think it through and try to compose a lucid and considered response. Asking a lot from King’s Lynn but give it a try.
And yes, the same goes for the Park Run. Too big, too many people. Try Lynnsport!
