South Wootton Knights Hill planning proposal is wrong, Lynn News letters
The village has grown over those 55 years, but I now feel that the last planning application is really a big step too far.
In making the changes to the village over those years I believe the parish council has done all they could to make sure that building developments have been allowed based upon good planning sense and in sympathy with what has gone before.
I believe that the current planning application above throws all those previous years efforts into disarray.
The increase in traffic will become unbearable, not just for South Wootton but North Wootton and Castle Rising. There will be an additional 983 vehicle movements through Wootton Gap for the three new developments. This will not do.
Has firm provision been made for doctors surgeries, schools and other village amenities?
What specific allowance has been made to cope with additional sewage needs?
Has the County Highways department spent enough time finding out what the real situation is regarding traffic congestion and air pollution in the village? Surely at this time of concern regarding climate change you have a responsibility not to exacerbate theproblem by creating a situation which would put more vehicles on our roads.
I believe that this planning application should be rejected, as it was when it originally went forward for planning approval.
