Rival Paul Parker, MP said on the same day said: "It was not possible to leave by October 31". Another contender Matt Hancock, MP said "Brexit could not be solved by threatening no deal."
No lessons are being learned from history. It was Europe which terminated the premierships of David Cameron and Theresa May in a disjointed Conservative Party. The new PM hasn't even been chosen and the divisions are still evident in the Tory hustings.
All of this will be music to the ears of Jeremy Corbyn as a distraction from Labour's problems, and to Nigel Farage who is on a roll.
