I feel I may have tweaked your ego by intimating that not everyone wants to read your continually rehashed tirades, and as for suggesting I am offering nothing in reply I have absolutely no interest in engaging in a discussion with you.

As for you “paraphrasing my letter” I was actually being kind in suggesting the compromise of a separate letters page for you and your fellow respondents, leaving other Lynn News readers to have a letters page about local and diverse subjects.

Hold on a moment! I can think of a reason I should read Mr Cox’s letters. I am having trouble getting to sleep at the moment but I am sure reading a couple of paragraphs of his letters will achieve this within minutes.
