Use brownfield sites for new homes in Lynn, Lynn News letters

I can confirm that this applies to the village of West Lynn - neglected but part of the borough.
There are more than 11 acres of empty and overgrown land that has been abandoned by the Del Monte company (Lin-Can).
Our council officers, supported by councillors, see fit to build on Wootton farmland which will be needed for food production soon. Councillors also see houses as a market rather than homes.

I believe this is because their choice is one of an easy option. Brownfield land, such as the Del Monte acres, should be compulsorily purchased without delay and used for highly needed young people's first dwellings.
