Letter: G. Thos. King October 20, 2017

The South Gate entry to King's Lynn on London Road.
The South Gate entry to King's Lynn on London Road.

With damage regularly occuring to Lynn’s historic ( c.1524) South Gate, an earlier borough council produced a plan to circumnavigate the monument.

However, like most of Lynn development, feet dragging is the order of the day.

Recently another high vehicle took a chunk out of the upper part of the main arch. Vehicle size is now getting unreasonably large and the future of this building is no longer safe. I suspect this present administration hopes that next clout will bring the whole gate down and then the problem will have gone away.
