Recycling disappointment, Lynn News Letters
Published: 08:00, 20 July 2018
I went to recycle items such as metal, glass and wood and hopefully some resaleable items.
Having disposed of all items successfully apart from the wood I went to the relevant container only to be told it would cost me £3 to deposit the wood in the container.
I had five pieces of wood, the largest 12” x 12”, the smallest 6” x 3”. When I said that I may as well take it home and put in the black bin the operative said: “ If you so wish.” Who at County Hall makes these ludicrous decisions? These are people we elect to make sensible decisions on our behalf, it looks like I was sadly mistaken.
