People aren't happy with bland housing estates dumped in their villages, Lynn News letters
Despite what Truss says in the press and on her Twitter account, those constituents who are not happy with bland housing estates being dumped on their villages and towns are not Nimbys.
I believe that residents are not opposed to more housing per se. What local people really want to be are Swimbys, that is to say they want Something Wonderful In My Backyard.
For example, in Stoke Ferry a number of villagers are becoming increasingly concerned with the nature of the proposed development on the two agriculture mill sites in the centre of our village.
To this end they organised a meeting to see what people would like to see on the sites other than one hundred “anywhere” houses.
