Axe recycle centre charges to combat fly-tipping, Lynn News letters

More news, no ads

Councils throughout the UK should stop the ridiculous charging at our (we pay for them) recycling centres.

The charges are almost an inducement for people with little spare cash, if any, and those without scruples, to dump their rubbish illegally.

Councils should be making it as easy as possible to recycle unwanted items. They should bear in mind that a lot of the unwanted items are fit for reuse, the clue is in the name – recycling centre.

It would be a good idea for our council to take note and lead the way to stop the blight of our fair Norfolk countryside by this criminal fly-tipping.
