Facial recognition cameras are creepy form of control, Lynn News letters

By Lynn News Reporter

We are marching into a new world of spying technology blissfully ignorant of the potential inreversible loss of personal freedoms and self determination.

Facial recognition, number plate reading equipment on every road and streets awash with CCTV cameras is the way our Government keeps us under control and monitors us.

As far as I’m aware I have never given anyone the right to follow me digitally or log my whereabouts on computers.

This insidious creepy peeking into your every move is presented as a way of maintaining our security and personal safety.

It is nothing of the sort. It is a way of controlling you and making sure ‘they’ know where you are and what you’re up to.

It’s supposed to be a free country. I’m wondering if it is any more?

Let’s see what the ICO investigation report has to say about this latest outrageous interference in our lives. My guess is the onward march of technology means our lives can never be our own again and, having opened Pandora’s box, it can never be closed unless enough of us object.

You can bet the next tranche of planned disruption in London by Extinction Rebellion will be monitored by facial recognition software and the computers then link to Passport and DVLC databases to identify the perpetrators. Watch this space. ‘They’ are!
