Support green deal to plant trees in Norfolk, Lynn News letters

More news, no ads

It seems that this simple proposal, following as it does from the decision by Norfolk county council to plant 1,000,000 trees and north Norfolk council to plant 110,000 trees is a twig too much for our Council.

Please note that the leader, Brian Long, did vote to support the initiative taken by Norfolk County Council, but one can only assume he believes this borough is not worth it.

I am a councillor and I am asking all persons interested in making this scheme go forward email their own councillor to ask that it is supported, or at least that they do not vote against it.

An oak tree.
An oak tree.

I ask as it seems that for “political” reasons the conservative majority are being whipped to oppose the proposal.

Please use your keyboard and email your councillor and let’s avoid the humiliation of rejecting this notion.
