This has been said about all the cuts to NHS, Police, Armed Forces, education, firefighters, prison officers and social care. Money is being put before people's lives, greed before need.

Cuts are to blame for the crisis in Birmingham Prison. As a senior prison officer stated recently on TV, he worked there for years and the staff had things under control because they were professional or knew their job. Then the cuts came. Where there used to be ten officers for a wing, it became five, sometimes less and G4 were brought in. They don't have the greatest record on security but Mrs May seems to favour them with multi-million pound contracts. The good staff left, G4 took over and now the prison is in crisis. Cuts again. The same can be said of Capita. Government keeps awarding the multi-million pound contracts and they keep failing. Capita is an American out-sourcing company. After eight years of savage austerity, cuts and record borrowing, it is now time to stop the cuts.
