Prince Philip's crash – law applies to everyone, Lynn News letters
The author of the letter was having a rant at the lady who received a broken wrist in the accident with Prince Philip.
I don’t think the lady was enjoying her moment of fame, talking to the media about the crash. It was a miracle no one was killed or was seriously injured.
And there was a young child in the car. Of course attention would be given to the accident as someone involved was very high profile.
The day of the accident it was all about Prince Philip being safe and walking away but hardly a mention of the other occupants of the other vehicle. Much later we heard about the two women and their injuries.
Within hours, the council was calling a meeting to reduce the speed on that road. Campaigners have been complaining for a very long time.
Also, within hours, Prince Philip has a new vehicle and is driving it without a seat belt done up. And your writer has a go at the injured lady who was driving on the main road. The law does apply to everyone, rich and poor. In theory anyway.
