The Swaffham and Litcham Home Hospice has benefited from some of the fundraising efforts of the town’s Lionesses group during its 25th anniversary year.

A cheque for £300 was presented to the charity to mark the retirement of the club’s outgoing president, Karen Nye.

She was joined by fellow club members, from left, Anne Dryden, Susan Ashford and Valerie Oseni, as she presented the cheque to the hospice’s assistant co-ordinator Rachel Varney, centre right, and team assistant Sarah Leggett at the charity’s headquaters.

Nicola Claxton has now succeeded Mrs Nye as the club’s president.
