Liz Truss visits Downham Market Greggs
It seems that Boris Johnson isn’t the only senior Conservative that is “made of Greggs” as South West Norfolk Tory candidate Liz Truss ended her campaign visit with a trip to Britain’s most beloved bakery.
Her visit to Downham saw her join fellow party members outside the town hall to hand out leaflets.
Boris’ recent radio interview with Nick Ferrari on LBC had him reveal that he was “made of Greggs,” and had even tried the famous vegan sausage roll.
However, the PM was unaware of the cost of the snack and when questioned said, “Oh I don’t know, £1.90?”
In the expensive Westminster branch of Greggs, the sausage roll totals £1.30 and in most UK stores it is only £1.
The final list of candidates for South West Norfolk are as follows:
Conservative - Liz Truss
Green Party - Pallavi Devulapalli
Labour - Emily Blake
Liberal Democrats - Josie Ratcliffe
Official Monster Raving Loony Party - Earl Elvis Of Outwell
