King's Lynn Human Capital Department HR consultants director Rod Lee moves towards retirement

Rod Lee, director of Lynn-based Human Capital Department, plans to step back from operational HR support and concentrate on more strategic projects with the business as he transitions towards retirement and relocating to his original home of Chester.

He said: “One of the big projects I’ll be working on is developing an operations manual for the business – this is a key tool in our expansion plan as we look to recruit franchisees in key cities including London, Bristol and Manchester.”

Rod joined founder Peter Lawrence of Human Capital Department, on the North Lynn Industrial Estate, in 2017 and since then the business has won several awards including the ‘Mayors Award for Innovation’ and ‘HR Consultant of the Year’ (Enterprise Nation).

Peter commented that: “Rod will remain a shareholder and director of the business and, although less hands-on, will be in the background should we need him.

"We will never replace Rod, but we do have a very capable team including myself, Jasmine Bentley and Jim Blythe.

"And Ellie Webster has recently joined us as an HR apprentice."
