Prontaprint in King's Lynn supports local charity Whispers From Wings

Lynn printers Prontaprint will be helping a bereavement support group in the town, Whispers from Wings.

The printers, which relocated to St James Street earlier this month, are printing a range of Christmas cards for the charity, designed by local artist Naomi Lowry which will be sold to raise funds for Lynn's Queen Elizabeth Hospital baby bereavement suite.

They announced their support just ahead of Baby Loss Awareness Week, which starts on October 9.

Prontaprint owner Jenny Richards said: "With so many coronavirus restrictions in place at present, there are so many charities and groups that have had fundraising activities cancelled, but this is a way we could support the group so we jumped at the chance.

"They provide a very important service to the community and we hope the cards will raise much needed funds for them and the baby bereavement suite."

Whispers From Wings was founded by Verity Gamble and Sarah Chapman and offers a space to meet up each month to support one another. The group also raises awareness of baby loss support and organizes fundraising events. It is currently supporting the Maternity Bereavement Suite appeal which has a fundraising target of £185,000.

Verity said: "Thanks to the team at Prontaprint for providing the cards, they will help us raise much needed funds."

The Christmas Cards will be sold via the Whispers From Wings Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/whispersfromwings/ at £6 per pack.
