Lynn-born Nick Aldis is set to return to his hometown in October when he will be joined by a posse of top wrestlers from all over the world.

The British world champion is set to feature on the bill as an international grappling company makes its UK debut.

Global Force Wrestling has announced details of its first British bills fresh from successful events across America, including super-shows at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.

Fans from across the UK will see GFW in action at Lynnsport on Sunday, October 30.

Global superstar Mr Aldis has appeared on television in 120 countries, as well as the Sky One show Gladiators and presented The UK’s Strongest Man.

It is a home-coming that he cannot wait for, saying: “I’m excited and proud to be part of GFW’s first UK shows.

“King’s Lynn is where I was born and where I’ve always been announced from, so it will be great to finally appear on a major show in my hometown.

“I hope the fans feel as excited as I do.”

As well as heavyweight champion Nick “Magnus” Aldis, heading the line-up will be the co-founders of the company and international wrestling favourites Jeff and Karen Jarrett, along with multi-time WWE and TNA Woman’s champion Mickie James.

Former TNA and ROH star Doug Williams, and British-based Marty Scurll who is well-known from Challenge TV’s British Bootcamp and Wrestletalk TV.

Further big names from home and abroad will be added to the Lynn bills in the week’s ahead.

Mr Jarrett said: “I’m thrilled to be heading to the UK to share the GFW brand with the incredible fans across the pond.

“Since day one, no fan base has inundated us with more requests to bring a show to them than those in the UK

“What’s unique about this is we wanted to bring high-caliber shows to towns that haven’t previously had access to them, with most touring companies staying exclusively in major cities like London, Manchester and Glasgow.

“We decided to give new towns an opportunity to experience a great live wrestling event.”
