Magic circle for King's Lynn performer
When a power cut occurred in Jacks at Woodlakes it could have been the unluckiest night.
But for this magician the restaurant in Stow Bridge has now become a lucky omen.
Josh Maddocks, a magician who works in and around Lynn has had some rather magical news.
Mr Maddocks said: "Jacks at Woodlakes seems to be the luckiest place for me.
"I had two bookings one night, the first was Jacks and the second was Tipsy Teapot.
"As I pulled into the car park at Jacks my phone started to ring.
"When I answered it was a representative from the Magic Circle calling to let me know I am now a full member of the most famous magic society in the world.
"When I had my interview, I told them I wanted to do the same for Lynn that Dynamo did for Bradford.
"After I heard the news I was taken over with a new found confidence and made sure each and every person I interacted with had the best time.
"I was riding high with the news I had received.
"I have been performing magic since 2007, I specialise in close up card magic. This means I prefer to be up close and personal while performing, as opposed to being on stage.
"I'm incredibly proud of where I live and I'm honoured to have been accepted into such a prestigious organisation."
