LEARN MOREResidents and visitors to East Winch will be greeted by a beautiful floral display next spring thanks to efforts of a local group.
The Friends of East Winch and West Bilney was set up to make improvements around the two villages and they are proving true to their aims.
In a latest venture, local resident Colin Bland was joined by a number of children from the village to plant hundreds of spring bulbs.
Mr Bland did the digging while the children planted the bulbs, which were donated by Bulbs4kids.
The planting took place in two beds within the grounds of East Winch Village Hall.
The Friends of East Winch and West Bilney is an independent group aiming to improve facilities in the village and has already been hard at work upgrading the children’s play area.
The group is currently organising a number of fundraising activities to make improvements to the children’s play area in the village.
Any donations or offers of help should be directed to the group’s chairperson Sam Adkin - sam.adkin@gmail.com
